First ad for 09

In my local Atlanta paper I saw the first ad for a 09 4Runner. A basic 2WD V6, $26,975. Sure that is down from list, but last week they had 08's with sunroof, but still 2WD for $21,995. So, I guess the market is back to normal and there must not a recession must be gone.

(The ad was for Cobb County Toyota and Cherokee County Toyota.)

Hmm I wonder what the full price would be at Cherokee for the 08 2wd SR5, I bought one there in november. I want to say I only payed 24,500. Its got the convenience package so there was like 1 upgrade. I guess with tax, the ad will prob be the same.

I guess if you figure the $4,000 discount for 08's the price would be closer. I also know newspaper ads are not the real price, but seeing a $5,000 jump from 08's to 09's is pretty good rise.

No factory rebates/incentives on the '09... (yet)

It actually makes sense now, the Highlander is cheaper. Last year the 4Runner was running close to the RAV4. Since the Highlander was new and the 4Runner was getting a bit old and gas was $4 a gallon.

Maybe the dealers are hoping that is the way it should be, maybe?
