Look at the interior of the Yukon:

It flows well and shows good symmetry. While the Sequoia interior might work for a truck, it is subpar for an almost luxury SUV.

Have no idea what the purpose is, though. Maybe 'cause the sound scares the daylights out of many people.

You got me. Maybe it's like my Mercedes 4-ETS system...mainly for all-season purposes. This may mean that Toyota has no intention on coloring this SUV as an off-roader...and with IFS/IRS, we know what Toyota's mission is for this Sequoia...this may also address the on-road problem of current VSC/ATRAC system that Falls (and others) have mentioned??

I am afraid I have to agree. I like the old Sequoia style (as least the exterior) better than this new one. Perhaps it will grow on me but I think the dash design is too disjointed. I must also admit that GM has come a long way in styling (and somewhat in reliabaility) over the past few years.

The new Sequoia, Landcrusier, and Hghlander are just too generic and boring in their exterior design for my personal taste. As they atart to look more like minivans I wonder if most buyers are just better off with minivans unless they really need the towing capabilities.

I hope the next generation 4Runner still maintains a unique and muscular styling as well as it's great combination of on and off-road performance. If not I fo r one will jump on one of the last 4th generations at the time.

The potential good news for the Sequoia is the increased performance and associated mileage ratings for the 5.7L/6 sp combo. Edmunds gves a big thuimbs up re. the new Sequoia's ride but I am afraid the pricing may knock it out of range vs. comparably equipped large SUVs.

A good time to get a great deal on a 2007 Sequoia.

OMG! It's a giant 2008 Highlander! It's even got the same cheap model nameplate on the back door over the license plate!

It's not bad, but way too much silver plastic on the driver's side. Agree with boston_kevin... it doesn't go with everything else. Although I do like it better than the old dash with the big oval in the middle where the radio sits.

I like the exterior styling of the Sequoia. It looks kind of rugged and tough. I agree that it looks like a QX56 but maybe bigger. I am not fond of the interior. It looks very cheap and boring. I never thought I would say this, but I like the new GMC interior better. Besides the wood, the layout looks much more user friendly.

I agree about the interior. I hate the silver area in the center console...they should've integrated the black and silver parts and gave it more symmetry. I didn't like it on the Tundra, and I don't like it on the new Sequoia.

The handle on the rear hatch is also a turn-off. It would've been nice if they integrated it into the license plate trim like on the 4Runner.

I am liking the brown interior, sort of like the "Natural Brown" interior BMW offered on the E46. At first I thought it looked weird, but it kind of grows on you.

Nope. The Sequoia has a FULLY BOXED FRAME, while Tundra has the Triple Tech Crap.

Yeah... they had parts of the Tundra on display, comparing it to other trucks in its range, like frame pieces, ring and pinion gear sets and front brake disk sizes. It was only a small piece of it, like 8-10 inches long, but I was still to put my weight on it and see it flex a little

What's your point about gas mileage????

Testdrove it over the weekend - drove real nice - had fun spinning the tires on snow / ice recovered real nice. Only annoying thing was all the beeping that started - does anyone know if that is a feature you can turn off???
