Hey folks..

Suggestions/ recommendations required..

will be taking my 4R for her first service dayafter tomorrow..can anyone guide me as to what I need to get done..the truck has been driven only on road surface..no towing..i was just planning to get the oil changed..should i worry abt the 5W and 10W..apart from the regular first service checklist in the manual..did anyone have something in particular..also i notice that with my REAR WINDOW OPEN and on heavy/sudden acceleration..the sulphur smell is terrible..does the recent TSB take care of this?
Also I notice that below 60MPH, there is a slight wobble of the steering wheel..although this is not everytime..any insight??

Thanks folks..and for those living in the tri-state area..better go slowly..too many cops..making the rounds

Have them change the oil filter. Several of us has learned that getting the filter off for the first oil change requires destroying it and breaking tools. It's an easy reach for us V6's but the filters are put on with maximum torque at the factory before the engine is placed in the body. Otherwise, read the manual, there's very few things to have done at that mileage.

On my 2001 when I first changed the oil the filter was a different size than the Toyota repalcement filter. My wrench did not fit since it was a Japanese flter and I had to get it off with screw driver, hammer and a lot of cussing. Oil went all over the place and it was a pain in the ass. It was also on very, very tight, it wasn't "hand tighten" like they recommend that's for sure.
