well, it final got here.. the first snow fall of the winter to hit NYC.. today was only 2-4 inches, but tomorrow calls 6-10 inches... OH HAPPY DAY!!!!:D :D :D ... The 4Runner performed GREAT today.. the combination between the skid control and traction control made it so easy to drive throughout the day.. comparing to my 98 Pathfinder SE, the 4Runner wins hands down...
i also thought that these stock Dunlops were going to be like car tires, but they were great in the snow.. i was just about to get bigger tires, but i guess these should hold up until i really need to change them... so far so good;): cant wait till tomorrow!!

Congratulations!

If you're out playing tomorrow, take some pictures and post them here!

I can't wait 'til we get some snow out west here...I want to try out my new rig. I have a big parking lot all staked out for testing this new-fangled traction and skid control stuff...

oh yeah....the snow is still fallin here....another long islander here...yesterday i got to drive in it for 2 hrs....thats how long it took me to get home from work....normally a half hour trip....haha...so far so good in the snow

Sayville...south shore in suffolk....sorry, small town and most people dont know where it is so i give more detail...lol

I have been watching the news today and it looks like the whole NorthEast got a bunch of snow. I don't miss snow that much, but once just once I would love to see a White Christmas.

Working on 2 feet of Snow here in Boston and the 4Runner is Awesome in it!! Heading out for another ride.....

cool....small world huh...lol

Anyone drivin testin the skid control? It basically takes control of a fish tail or skid out...cant have too much fun slidin all over the place though....lol...the 4runner fixes it for you

I stomped on the gas the other day and started to do a doughnut in the middle of the intersection next to my house. Wound up in the neighbors driveway. The traction control didn't do crap.
Today I was driving around in blizzard like conditions and I think it handled the snow much better with the center diff. locked and the trac control off. No spinning all over the place. Drove about 80 miles tonight on the interstate and didn't have any problems. Only saw one vehicle off the road and he came within a foot or two of smacking a large granite outcrop.

We can turn the traction control off with all time 4WD? I have an 03 Sport and I didnt know we can turn that off

I think that GASLIGHT meant VSC, not traction control. 4runner with 4wd canNOT turn off traction control. Locking the center diff will turn off VSC, but traction control is still active.

well, i knew it would end soon, so today was the last day of snow.. but i was out and about with no problems.. i drove up to the Pallisades mall yesterday in the "blizzard like conditions":D with no problems.. once again, i'm VERY impressed with my truck.. i took a few pics and will post them soon...;):
