Sorry for not calling, we would have liked to have you join us. We weren't sure if we were going or not until late Saturday night after adapting my gas skid and changing out my passenger side CV after 4wheelparts broke it (we think it happened while testing out my locker in their parking lot like the complete idiots they are). I know it wasn't like that before I brought it to them and I never even engaged the locker because it was leaking so I'm 100% sure I didn't break it.
I got them to pay for the axle, but I had no interest in them installing it after having to go back there 3 times before my locker finally worked properly and my diff didn't leak oil anymore. I will never shop at 4wheelparts again as long as I live and recommend everyone on this forum to stay far, far away from those hacks. Just glad everything is finally fixed and I got to test it out successfully on the trails.
Jealous! I bet the snow was a lot easier to clean off than all the desert mud I had caked on in my wheel wells from this weekend.
Clean? I think I did that once, LOL. I was telling Driffter how surprised I was at how dirty our trucks got for a snow run. There were lots mud holes everywhere! Good times!

There are lots of trails with different difficulties so you will find lots of areas that are fine for a stocker w/ ATs. I live up here so no I didn't put chains on. Jay didn't have to either when he came up. As a matter of fact, I've never had to chain a 4x4. Lately the CHP thinks everyone has the skill level a flatlander so they try to make 4x4s chain up too, but those of us who have lived here for decades blow them off and wiat until they move onto the next car in line and then we take off. You gotta carry them. The chains I carry in my runner are for my old Honda Civic with 13" wheels, haha.

In 5 years of taking my runner up to Big Bear I have never Chained up. The chains I have were for my 265/70/16's don't know, doubt that they would fit the 255/85/16's I have now. Last year I went up with a friend that has a jeep he didn't have chains so before we got to the check point I gave him the box my chains were in so I had chains and he had a box for chains worked great.
Yes there are alot of trails doable in a stocker with at's. I ran my 265/70/16 LTX's all over up there stock for 3 winters never stuck or chained.

I love your front bumper pikeman. Is outdoor logic starting to produce those now?
There was a bit of snow at Onyx. Near the top in the shade one Taco had to be hauled out of a 18 inch drift.
Unfortunately the gate to Yucca is still shut but it was a good time for sure.
