Hey everyone, thanks for your help. Hope I posted to the right thread...

I'm looking to buy my first T4R, thought I'd ask for some expert advice.

2001 SR5 4Runner

~$10K... looks like an ARB bumper, only 102K, rear diff lock, etc...

I just asked about the timing belt, water pump, last cooling system flush, transmission fluid, front & rear diff fluids, transfer case fluid... O2 sensor, plugs, outer rear axle seal... just to be thorough, haven't heard back...

If it drives well, I think it's a great deal... thoughts?

Oh I'll be using it for my short commute, but more fun... getting to and from climbing sites in colorado in one piece, my civic isn't making the cut.... some wheeling of course too...

Thanks again and good to meet you all.

Nice 4runner, but 01 and 02 4runners had the center diff lock, not the rear diff lock, that is unless he added a rear diff lock.
Even though it has 102k miles, I don't think it's worth $10k, maybe 8k.
Good Luck!

I agree. I would say the value is closer to 10 if he has done the timing belt, water pump, etc etc, but I doubt it. 9k at highest otherwise although overall condition would play a big roll in that.

I think the price is about right for Colorado. I paid 11K for mine but it only had 79,0000 when I got it. You don't find many with lower miles here so it's more about what you are willing to pay. I really doubt he added a rear locker, when he says diff locker he is probably referring to the center locker or just thinks he has the rear locker. Let me know if he wants to part with the ARB, I will give him my front bumper as part of a deal :)

I think it's a good deal, if it's been maintained correctly. I paid $11k for my last 4runner which was a 2000 highlander edition w/ rear locker with 90k miles. It was absolutely immaculate.
Go for it!
