First time getting her dirty! (video link)

After owning it for a few weeks now, finally decided to through some dirt and mud on it, and just see how it feels. It was pretty awesome, feels unstoppable, mind you, I didn't throw it a good challenge, but just something to start practicing on and just get a feel for it.

where is that? Is it an area open to public. looks like a fun spot to go and play around in! 4runner is super capable, you probably didn't need to use any of the offroad goodies that come with the pro. did you test out the crawl control?

It's near a construction site, but its been abandoned for so long now, I noticed other Jeeps going here so decided why not try it out! You're right I didn't have to use any crawl control to get through that, just put it in 4HI and it took it like a champ, love this thing!

Yea the whole engine compartment was a mess, took forver to clean it all out.

Anyone recommend special products to help clean mud off?

I've used the gunk wipes with good results - but that's for road grime not mud. I know many many many people use those spray products and then pressure wash clean. personally there's just something about spraying foam soap everywhere in the engine bay and then pressure washing the whole thing that makes me uncomfortable so I've never done it

Yea I would have a hard time with a spray washer in my engine bay, I'd rather do it by hand with wipes, bit at a time and just knowing that no water will make its way to any connectors or sensors. I'm sure most are waterproof, but good piece of mind.

IIRC, all external electrical connectors are waterproof.
Remove one and look to see it it has an O Ring seal in it to make sure and confirm.
People cross water all the time in these vehicles and force water into the engine compartment. Run fast through mud holes and water holes without issue.
