First Time Off Roading(pics)!

Last Sunday I went off roading with my 4R at Southern Missouri Off Road Ranch in Seymour, MO. I had a blast! This is my first time ever going off roading. I had to use my rear locker once. It was cool seeing how pushing one button i went from stuck to driving out like a boss! Here are a few pics!

Uh-oh. Sounds like you got bit by the bug..... next thing you know the running boards will be off and you'll have an aftermarket bumper with some sliders and a lift. I'm sure you also think to yourself that my prediction can't be right.... but good portion of the guys on this forum got started just the way you did.

It is but i managed to break it at some point :-(

Oh and I definitely have plans to do the OME 881/906 lift and some 32" Mud-Terrain KM2s. I'm not sure if i want to removed the running boards or not. I got short stubby legs so I use them on a daily basis lol! I cant go to crazy as she's still my daily at this point.

A few things i thought were interesting about my experience. 1. When i looked back at some of the videos we shot, I was driving REALLY slow. 2. There were numerous spots where my buddy and I just looked at each other an were like, "there is no way" We'd try it and it was no problem what so ever. So how do you determine of an obstacle is actually doable or not?

Lol, yeah and the first pictures you take of your achievements never seem to do the actual road justice!

So how do you determine of an obstacle is actually doable or not?

Like most things in life, experience will be your guide. So all the more reason to get out more and practice!

Short and stubby they may be, but your running boards will get trashed if you keep them on. I hit a snow bank and jack up my running boards. They act like damage multipliers and dented my rocker panel. Plus you'll get hung up on them if you go over a sharper bump on one side of the vehicle. Take them off now before you bust them up. You can always put them back on after your off-roading trips. They are easy to remove. Just nuts and bolts.
