I bought my 4Runner two days ago. It's my first time owning any Toyota vehicle and based on what I've heard and read, I'm stoked to own one. I've had a couple of lifted, daily driver Jeeps (XJ & WJ) in the past. I did some pretty decent wheeling with them and loved it but I think I'm going to keep my 4Runner mostly on pavement.
Judging by the market around here while I was shopping I think I happened onto a SWEET deal. It's a 2000 Limited, 181,000 miles, 100% rust free, bone stock other than some BFG All-Terrains. It's got some typical nicks and scratches for a vehicle of this age and a decent dent in the front bumper. According to the previous owner, he inherited it from his grandfather and was selling it to get money for a down payment on a car. He obviously didn't know what he had because I picked this baby up for $2900!! All it really needs is suspension freshened up (shocks & struts), climate control panel rebuilt, and I need to figure out why there is HOT, HOT air coming in the cab from the center console area. Mostly around the xfer case shift boot.
