Well it finally snowed enough.......Just enough to give me a reason to kick my SR5 into 4 Hi on the roadway. Let's just say I was prolly the only one on the roadway with a smile on my face! :bowl::lookout::driving:

OP: glad you having fun buddy!! that's what it's all about!

nonsense, just not on ice...:suspicious:

Yeah, have you ever seen snow or ice?? Besides in a book?? Or TV?? I wasn't driving like a nut, just enjoying being able to move better than everyone else! :) It's my first 4x4 and let's put it this way, I've been a tower for over 15 years and on the FD for 10, don't need to end up like the people that give me job security.

If you need to brake in snow, pop it into N and let all 4 wheels work together to slow you down.

My ABS sucks. The rear wheels still want to push while the front wheels are pulsing and letting the truck continue to roll. WTH!

When in 4wd, all 4 wheels are connected together (somewhat since they go thru open differentials) and want to go somewhat the same speed. This does help some in stopping. Again all the wheels want to go the same speed and help resist locking up.

Downshifting does help. You need to minimize sudden gear changes by letting the clutch out slowly.
