First time using the 4wd

Thanks, I appreciate the help. When my wife picked up the 4R she left the manual on the salesperson's table. Its 2 hours away so they are mailing it to us, otherwise I would have read it first. Thank you though.

Shift from 4HI to 4Lo in one motion.

That was the killer for me until I got the hang of it. I was too timid and it did NOT want to shift properly. Once I accepted just throwing it up into gear quickly, the problems went away.

Oops, yeah, sorry. Sometimes I forget that not all 4Runners use a lever to get into 4wd.

I've gone from 2H to 4L a few times without any issues. I was stopped and the transmission was in neutral, of course. I go from 4L to 2H all the time the same way. (trans in N).
