I like the sliders and rear bumper. How much is that bumper rated to tow? I also think it could be moved up a bit. The front bumper looks good, it's just not my style. What winch are you running up there?

I like the sliders, they look bomber! The front bumper is sweet! Are those light mounts custom or do the bumpers come with em? I agree with gm350reratliff that the rear bumper could be a tad bit smaller with at better departure angle. Im also interested in seeing if that bumper can tow 7k! Any word on a rear tire carrier?

I like the rear bumper, but agree that it could be more compact with a better departure angle. I'm not sure I like the "riveted flaps" right behind the tires... maybe in person I'd understand what's going on. In a couple of the pics, it doesn't look like it's sitting parallel with the body line just above it on the sides and I think that if it came closer to following the profile of the rear hatch (bottom edge), it would look a little more integrated.
The sliders look great... are they bolt on and do they work with the XREAS lines?
The front bumper looks like an awesome option for us... good approach angle and probably lighter-weight than some of the other options. Like the rear bumper (at least in the pictures), it looks like it could follow the body line above it a little better. Also, is there any way to fill in some of the areas to hide the unfinished areas behind the bumper? Did you paint all of that black to conceal it?
These are just my thoughts from what I can see in the pictures... I know that sometimes angles can look funny in pictures, but overall I think your 4Runner looks awesome! Can you post some more pictures... straight-on, centered shots from the front and rear and maybe level shots from the side?? I don't mean to be a pain... I'm just excited about another option!!

The rear bumper sticks out that far because the frame rails and rear most cross-member extends out that far. There are other aftermarket bumpers that require chopping off that part of the frame and rear most cross member to improve departure angles and bringing the bumper closer to the rear hatch.
This is why the 4Runner holds up so darn well when it gets rear ended by cars. The rear plastic bumper is over full steel, not styrofoam. :lookout:

his taco bumpers are rated class III and the hitch bolts on where the factory hitch does, i am guessing there is no diff.....
Th ebumper is low, and part of that is because it is a prototype, and some of the bending and breaking was a little off.
Not sure on cost, I know the sliders are 450, but if you want to bolt them on, you have to install threaded inserts in the frame, his come ready to bold or weld..

I forwarded this post to him, the rear bumper need to be refined, but i can not giv my runner up for long enough right now to have it redone.
As far as the xreas i took mine off in favor of a 2009 tacoma TRD setup, they can be bolted to the frame but you would have to use threaded inserts.

you are 100% right, this bumper bolts directly to the frame so it can not get any closer, and he did not want to do a bumper where you have to chop the frame.
