Fishing Rod Holder

Hi, I love to go fishing all the time, and I would like to make something that will hold all my fishing rods. I want to make something, and attach it to the interior ceiling, but I have no idea how to make it work. Any ideas? I've thought about getting together some metal parts, and make some homemade handles, and drill it into the ceiling, run some straps from one handle to other. What do you think?

I myself am a abide fisherman and have purchased a suction cup rod holder from bass pro for 10 dollars. Holds 4 rods or two break in half rods. Just suction it to my windows. It also has an attachment for screwing in. So when not in my runner its hanging on my wall in my house. Suction cups slide right into grooves for wall mounts.

how about a length (or lengths) of PVC pipe? we used to use those to transport our poles between islands (air cargo), and when we get to where we're going, we lash them to the pipe racks of trucks, or stick them in the cargo area of an SUV and leave them hanging out the back (with a little red or orange flag at the end to warn cars behind us).

you could make some kind of mounts (like racks) tied in to the ceiling, and then just hang them from that inside the vehicle so they don't get stolen, and are out of the way. strap them down so they don't move or become projectiles, and you should be pretty set.

Just do what this guy did, buy a Unimog and turn it into a fishing rig :)
