Aren't they just like a non-moving violation / parking ticket? I don't think they will ever show up on your record unless they are unpaid and they issue a warrant??

Just my thoughts. Maybe contact the state dmv

A fix-it ticket won't show on your driving record. (at least in CA) It is tied to the vehicle registration. If you don't fix-it/pay it then you won't be able to renew your registration. You will end up paying hefty fines. I used to know a guy who would tint is windows extremely dark ... fix them and then retint them. He never seemed to have a problem other than it seemed like a total waste of cash.

Yup. When i was in Cali i had my windows tinted 4 times in a year. When i got here in CO, i had one of my rear taillight bulbs ($1.99) replaced 3 times. I wouldn't have ever known until some Highway Patrol would pull me over. So thanks for the cops looking after me.

Yes I am referring to my tint. I got my 2nd one. Not bad considering I've had them this dark for 7 or 8 months and only gotten pulled over twice, especially when considering the first was for speeding. I might just try to get it signed off again, but if I don't get around to it, and have to actually remove it this time, I will do so, get it signed off legitimately, then have it put right back on. I have a small ding on my drivers window because I hit it with my seat belt, so I've been thinking about re-doing it anyways.

If they will never show up as long as they are "fixed" and paid ($10) then I'll just keep on re-doing them.
