So I had to do a pretty decent look around to find some good info on why my floormats were wet suddenly and why my '00 Ltd was stinky.
Enough research indicated that the condenser drain was blocked up. I saw a couple posts on other sites about how to fix this and there were varying fixes. One involved pulling the glovebox out and spraying pressured air into the line.
I personally found this fix much easier and I think it would fix most people's problems, since the design is mainly to blame. If you're having this problem, I recommend the following:
1.) Find something somewhat flexible but strong, perferrably not something that can puncture a rubber hose. I actually didn't have something so I took a standard Bic pen, and pulled out the ink-filled tube. I kept the ball point assembly attached to the ink tube. I basically shed the outer plastic grip, etc.
2.) Crawl under the 4Runner on the Passenger side, staying just behind the front right wheel. Once you're under enough, look up at the firewall. there is an approximately 2-4 inch hard rubber, L-shaped tube coming out of the firewall. This is the drain for the accumulated moisture that's expelled from the A/C system.
3.) Insert the Ballpoint end of what's left of your pen into the end of the tube. when you reach the turn, gently push through the turn. The blockage is probably RIGHT there. You'll know because water will start pouring out of the drain.
Easy fix, saves you a trip to the dealer and maybe a few bucks. My dealer told me it wasn't covered.
