Hey,

So I was cutting my 4runner apart when! I found a hose at the bottom of the rocker panel. Weird. So I blew air into it and found that it comes out the top vents.

What the hell is this tube for? WHy would there be a hose that goes to the rocker panel? WOuldnt they want the water to bead off the outside of the vehicle?

Would it be some type of air-flow system so that it dries off any moisture in the panel?

I have no idea...

Toyota commonly runs sunroof drains into the rocker panels, so I'm guessing similar type of thinking. Not sure what the vent on the pillar is for (just plain ventilation?) but the tube is probably just to allow it to drain any water that gets in there, say from a car wash.

The vent could be for cabin pressure release. shut one of the far doors hard and hold a hand over the vent and see if air pressure comes out.
