FJ Coils and Shocks w 3" Trailmaster lift...thoughts

Below is a purchase option. They were removed with only 2,000 miles on them supposedly. Will I be able to remove the 3" lift? Any possibility of mods when the Trailmaster's were installed? I've got an 03 Sport 4WD.

how much are they asking? Do you get the rear coils? they are not pictured! You can remove the trail master and use stock coils and shocks, you will receive a good ride with the coils. Looks like the trailmaster lift is a 2 part lift, preload and top mount. You can remove the bottom"thicker" part of the lift and leave the top to have an additional 3/4-1" lift. If that makes any sense. Depending on price that could be a good set-up!

Shocks look like the crappy FJ base model shocks which are similar to our stock shocks. If the FJ is 2010 or newer they will need to be modified to fit which can be a pain and not really worth it for those crappy base model shocks. As Sparky stated the lift is just preload and a top mount spacer which are easy to remove.

My opinion is the whole setup is worth maybe 100 bucks without the rear springs. FJ coils go for around 100 bucks for a set of front and rear and the front lift kit (perload spacer and top mount spacer) are worth $50-75.

No rear springs. Price as pictured is $70 and about an hr's drive. They come off an 07 FJ bought new by the owner. Presumably they have been sitting in a box for 6yrs.

So I see your in KY. You said an hour is that south? I'm in Knox, I can get them lol! I would say that is worth $70, the lift alone is worth more, go for it!

I picked up a set of rear coils from a 2013 dealer take off and now ready for the install. I'm 3/4 inch from level before the install as measured from the running boards.

Option A: Keep the thinner Trailmaster in the front and that might get me fairly close to level. I've read the 2013 rear coils are bit more stout and I might get a little more lift.

Option B: Is this even possible ~ Place the thinner Trailmaster on the rears and use the larger ones up front?

My mechanic will be doing the change out, Have XREAS on this 03 Sport. I'd just prefer he remove the entire XREAS if its not too much of an expense/hassle.

Thoughts on the change out?

A) yes
B) impossible
ditch xreas

you dont want the front lifted more than 3". I'd just level it out with the smaller spacer and call it a day.

Install completed and I put it up on the FJ Suspension thread. Ended up with the Trailmaster 3" lift and it worked out well.
