FJ Coils or Airbag 1000???

Well, I've decided on a .5" spacer, 1" lift for the front. I want to keep the "rake" with the back slightly higher than the front. I do carry some tools and a dog kennel from time to time. I noticed w/ all my hunting gear and dog, the back sags a bit and looks like poo poo...So, will FJ springs be stiffer? Too stiff to keep the good ride? My other option is airbag 1000 coil assist bags, but I will have to manually air up and down unless I install a pump and switch. What do you guys think? I do have Xreas and will be keeping it until it craps out. Thanks

It is hard to beat the air bag system. The FJ coils would help some, but when you are loaded down with gear and the trailer you will still have some sag. It is amazing at the difference the air system makes, although I have the OEM and am not familiar with the aftermarket ones.

I have both. The FJC rears will handle light to medium loads with much less sag. You'd probably be fine. I love have the Airlift too... I say do both (of course).

You can always do springs and Airlift later. I think the springs are great and you won't regret it even if you decide you want to add Airlift later, that's my take.

How much "lift" with the FJ springs? How's the ride? If I can find some I'll try just the springs first. Like you said, I can always add the airbags later. Just wondering about ride quality...

Lift will depend on how much your OE springs are sacked out. Around .5" is the answer...

The ride quality is great. You feel tiny imperfections on the road, speed bumps (at parking lot speeds) a little more. Above 20mph it feels like it rides better to me. It will corner a little flatter too. I think you'll like it and know that I'm a fairly slow driver who really likes smooth, quiet rides.
