FJ Cruiser Spring Swap?

I've been looking around and have seen a few people using stock FJ springs to lift their 3rd gen 4runners, I can't seem to find any reliable information about how much lift they are actually getting from the swap though, I've seen anywhere from 1" to 3.5".

I have a set of the stock FJ Cruiser springs already laying in the shop and just wondering if they would be worth installing. My truck is a 97 2WD (For now) so it would sit the same stock height as a 99+ 4WD or 1 inch lower than the 96-98 4WD I believe.

To clarify, they're not FJ Cruiser springs you need. They're FJ80 LANDcruiser springs.

And to clarify a little more, the FRONT FJ80 springs will be lifting the REAR of your 4Runner.

Thank you, very good write up, I was reading up on the fj80 swap and found some people that said they had used fj cruiser rear springs in the rear of the 3rd gens, there is a huge Toyota scene in this area, and my family is part of it, we are all daily drving toyotas, and probably soon theyll all be lifted. Basically every Toyota pickup on the road is lifted, it's pretty crazy.

I think the 4th gen guys use the stock FJ cruiser springs to get around 1-1.5" of lift...

No there are atleast 2 ppl I remember reading about that claimed to be using fj cruiser springs on their 3rd gen. One was on here and the other was on ih8mud.

That's what I saw too, I think the one on here said 1.5" lift and the other said like 3.5"

The one on mud said he got 2" and it was on the soft side.
