FJ Cruiser Vs 4Runner Ladder

Does anyone have any hands on experience with rear ladders for the FJ Cruisers and 4Runners? I have a 3rd gen, I use my roof rack a lot for gear and I really want to get a ladder setup but 3rd gen ladders are $300 where as I can get a FJ ladder for $80 shipped. I'm curious as to how different/similar they are. Both look like they mount similarly on top. But it's hard to really see in the pictures.

I have a Bajarack ladder on my FJ. I can get some pics on how it's mounted if you like. Mine will be for sale soon as I have an Expedition One rear bumper on the way.

I measured my door which is curved (about 44") as it was a PITA to measure the ladder.

Looks like the 4runner hatch is about 48" tall. So if anything the ladder would be short. The top looks like it would work; but I'd have to pull off or modify the air deflector. The bottom would need some modifications. But for $80 I may order one, see if it can be easily modified and if not, eat the return shopping costs and send it back. I'll keep everyone posted.
