FJ Lift - Tire Advice

Lift is complete and the tires are getting low on tread. I'm planning on going to the next size up 265/70-17 but I need some advice on tires.

I live in AZ, drive a 2wd and its on the road 99% of the time. I am also saving up for 17" Black TRD Wheels.

What would you all recommend?

I just bought Falken AT3W's for mine and I'm running a similar setup to you. I've put about 300 miles on them and I really like them so far. I've driven them a little bit in the rain and they seem to handle really well. So far I have no complaints about them and I really like the way they look. I'm running the 265/70r17's and I got them off of discount tire. I think that's the perfect size too.

I echo the Falkens. I loved mine in 265/70 and am now running it in 285/70. Look great, quiet and excellent traction on all surfaces.

However, I might recommend Firestone Destination AT tires given your stated 99% road use. A little easier on gas and still decent traction

If you want the look of an offroad tire, without all of the weight of a light truck rated tire. Check out the hankook dynapro atm.

I did an FJ lift and went with Goodyear silent armors. I have 70k miles on them and they are about ready for replacement. They are quiet, wear like iron, and have never let me down. I plan on get the new version, the Goodyear Adventurer.
