yes thats the color.

Okay, sorry FJ fans but I gotta say this-- The FJ is UGLY! And I'm talking Pontiac Aztek ugly....and maybe even Pacer ugly!

Maybe Toyota took the retro theme too far with the FJ.....or perhaps not far enough, because I loved the looks of the original FJ. Hopefully, they'll make the next generating a little better looking.

i hear ya. i sat in one at last years sharjah motor show and i was thoroughly disappointed,.. so much so that i bought my surf instead. was expecting alot more than another "H2" by toyota. the original FJ40 was somethign which could go head to head with the land rover defender. this new FJ is more of an overly sylized memory of it and is only capable of more or less what the surf/4runner is capable of doing (same applies to the land cruisers & lexuses/lexi).

Yeah, the only angle I can say is even remotely attractive (and that's a stretch) is from the front. It pretty much looks horrible from the rear and sides. The interior doesn't really bother me that much, but I wouldn't say it's attractive in that regard either.

But hey, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. With the amount Toyota is selling, somebody must like the looks! :bigok:

I like the new Sandstorm color. The Sandstorm FJ I saw had the All Terrain Package (16" Alloy, Bilstein shocks, rear locker, etc.). I wished the color was more like the desert version of the US Army HUMVEE (flat-flat desert).

I must also hate Driftwood Pearl on the 4Runner (see my sig). Both colors, IMO, are aristocratic. Imperial Jade was another aristrocratic color for the 4Runner however Toyota nix it.

IMO FJs are a bit too quirky for my taste but it's still cool and one of the most off road capable SUVs on the market.

They do look better in that Salsa red but so do the 4Runners.

SciRunner,we have an xB too in Thundercloud Metallic with 17" Motegi wheels and Tien coils, just got it last week.

I must admit the FJ has grown on me. In black , silver or black cherry red ( no longer made ).

The first thing I would do is go to the body shop and get rid of the white roof. I hate that for some reason. My son paints exclusively for Toyota and Lexus , and does quite a few white roof paints to color match. Looks much better IMO.

I personally thing they really need a 4dr model and a little longer wheelbase to make it more cargo/people friendly and compete with all the other competition has 4doors.
