FJ Springs but which Shocks

I have been digging through these threads for a while now, and they are awesome!

(2009, Limited, 4runner, V6)

They convinced me to go with the FJ springs which I have picked up. But I have read a lot of mixed reviews about 5100's, OME, and staying stock and just changing the springs.

My overall goals:

1. Rip out the xreas its time to move forward

2. Get rid of the forward rake and level it out

3. Small lift nothing huge.

I do a lot of street driving but do occasional light off roading.

Any advice on the direction to head with these shocks would be awesome!

From what I've read, you'll want a toytec or similar spacer for the rake. I don't have mine installed yet, but I went with the 5100s and OME coils.

I went cheap.....Tacoma TRD takeoffs which are Bilstein's but I don't exactly know what series. Then I picked up a set of 3rd hand FJ rear springs.

The combo of the taller front shock setup and stiffer springs kind of evened out the slightly taller/stiffer rear FJ springs. I'm about an inch taller but with slightly less rake than stock.

I added the internal Firestone airbags too since I pull a trailer often and load the truck with a lot of camping gear.

Awesome! Thank you for the heads up! I picked up some basically new FJ springs yesterday and I will be getting some shocks for it soon. Thanks for the help!
