Very excited to announce that I was able to claim my stake for FJ Summit 9!
It was pretty amazing to watch the map fill up in 37 minutes... If anyone else from the forum is going please let me know, id like to get a convoy going for the ride out there

Are you coming up to Mardi Krawl next month? BTW- I'm planning to return to FJ TEN after a couple years break-work and transition to a new vehicle

I didnt realize Mardi Krawl was happening then, wont be able to make it, heading back to work that weekend. And why on earth would you be transitioning to a new vehicle?

Considering the exponential rate at which FJ Summit registration has been filling up at, you may have to build a supercomputer and write a very complex algorithm to be able to get a spot in the coming years.
 
This will be my first year, pretty pumped about it, I figure this is as good a time as any to purchase a GoPro, do any of you have any suggestions as far as what model, how and where to mount it?

Barely made it. I've been working graveyards so I got home went to bed at 7, set the alarm for 9:58. I was using my Ipad and it was super slow and at one point either the FJS site was overloaded or my Ipad was acting up again but luckly I refreshed it and there were only 15 spots left. By the time I paid, there were 7. I was pretty pumped to get a spot. Then I went back to bed with visions of FJ's and 4runners offroading in my head.

This is my first year going. We were going to go last year but some family stuff came up so we couldn't make it. My wife will be in Las Vegas at the same time so I'm bringing my kiddos and my dad, posibly my mom as well.

Plan on heading North that Wednesday. :driving:

Last time I was at the Summit, I had my FJ. I'm just working on my build not getting rid of my pride and joy TE.

I'm heading out to Cruise Moab next year and there is no chance i can build a supercomputer or do anything related to algorithms-so I may not get there. I plan on being on the computer the second it opens next year.

Yeah, Mardi Krawl is April 9-12, then the Lone Star Toyota Jamboree is April 30-May 3 in Gilmer, Texas. I'm going to compare those to Windrock Park in TN and Moab/Ouray.
 
Cool, let us know how Mardi Krawl and Lone Star go, ill be camping in Hot Springs May 1-5 and plan to do some wheeling at Hot Springs ORV Park
 
By some miracle I was able to get a ticket, and probably one of the last hotel rooms available in the town. Luck doesn't usually work that way for me....can't wait!!!

Wifey and I got registered for our first summit! We will hit moab a couple of days before. Going to camp in Ouray for the summit. See y'all there!
 
I was not able to register this time, but they did tell me I am one of the first names on the waiting list and they said they are pretty confident I'll get in. Depending on how much work I get done on my 89 4Runner between now and then, I'm going to try and bring it because it is much more capable than my 06 4Runner which is my daily driver right now. AND, if I don't get in myself, I'll passenger with my buddy in his super trick FJ. Either way, I'll see ya there :)

I'll also be in Moab Monday-Tuesday before heading to Ouray. I won't be doing anything crazy, mostly checking the the place out, and doing some photography. I'll keep an eye out for your Rig.

We plan on a bit of the same. Hope to do White Rim Trail, Fins n' Things, and do some camping. Hope to see you there!

We are going to try to get into "Four J RV", which is right in town, and walking distance to all of the Summit events. If not, there are a few other places close by, including some free camping @ the "Amphitheater" area. I am staying tuned to the FJ forum for more info from the more experienced folks from that area.
