FJ SUMMIT, who's going?

Yea. They were posting on FB. The site crashed because the registration was confusing about payment. They fixed it and restarted registration. I saw it was around 180 at 3pm. They holdback 50 spots for sponsors. Get on the waitlist. I was over 100 on the list 2 years ago and got in by May/June.

It was closed 30 seconds after it went online. It was a huge cluster ****.

Yeah, pretty much this ^^^. When I saw they were rolling out a new site just a day before registration, I was expecting some bugs.

I'm happy to say we are going! Taking both 4runners as well. I was ready to register at 9:59:59 and it was booked. Jumped on the waiting list and a couple hours later had an email with a couple spots with our names on them. So, my advice is definitely get on the waiting list and never roll out a brand new web site just a day before a big event.

We'll be there, but not registered. Arriving on Saturday and staying for the next 10 days at the KOA. Too crowded and too many newbies to try to get on the trails during the event, but worth it to people and vehicle watch.

This will make 9 years in a row for us, And the last year we attend. So if you're going, hope to see you there.

Any trails a MUST? I didn't know what to pick, so I just picked randomly

Wednesday Night Run: Not Selected Yet
Thursday Trail Run: Black Bear Pass to Ophir Pass at 09:00 AM
Thursday Night Run: Imogene Summit sponsored by Baja Designs at 09:30 PM
Friday Trail Run: Alpine Loop (Engineer and Cinnamon Passes) at 09:00 AM
Saturday Trail Run: California Pass and Corkscrew Gulch at 09:10 AM

First year in a while I didn't register... Maybe I'll go to the wait list.. Or just show up. I had the 2 iPads and laptop ready, as after last year, I knew it would be an issue, and 20 minutes before made the decision I'll probably regret in July!

Went 8 years ago in a real FJ (40) and I heard last year was a log jam. I'll hit Imogene and black bear in June when the trails are free.

I booked 7:30 am runs to avoid the jams. Let us know if Black Bear is open in June. In last couple of years it opened in middle of July because it was still snow covered.

10 for me. See you there Nathan. I may have both the FJ and the 4-Runner with me since BaerTrax is about finished sorting out the mess Redline Landcruisers made of the FJ and I told the new owners they could show it off at the Summit if they wanted to pick it up in Crested Butte and haul it over there. I also told Jacque he could drive one or the other of my vehicles if he wanted to come up for the event.

Good luck trying to run these two trails in June. Given how much snow they've received this year and are still getting, I wouldn't expect them to be open until July 4th at the earliest. Last year Black bear didn't open until July 9th and Imogene on July 7th.

We'll see, even if we only make it to Telluride it'll be a nice drive.
