FJ suspension price

I've been looking for an FJ suspension setup for sale to replace my stock suspension. It seems like a lot of them go for $50-100, but I'm not sure which shocks those are. I found a setup for $300 shipped across the country, and they're the Bilstein shocks. Is this a good price?

Are the Bilsteins worth paying more over the Tokicos ?

The market for these parts has went up due to the demand from 4runner owners, so prices have also went up I believe. When I got mine, people were giving them away. Based on what I've seen, $150-$200 at most is what I'd personally pay for the Bilstein shocks. There are great aftermarket solutions, such as the Bilstein 5100's, that are available once you get over that price point. Of course, lower mileage setups would be worth more, but I still wouldn't pay over $200 and thats pushing it. I've seen too many sell for $100-$125, just got to be patient.
 
The popularity of the FJC suspension for the 4Runner owners has gone up quite a bit! I bought mine about a year ago from a friend off of Toyota FJ Cruiser Community. Most of them now will run between $100-$200 depending on which shocks you get. I would go to the WTB thread on that site and post up you are looking for some and see what type of bites you get. Alot of the guys over there are nice and would be willing to sell what they have for a good price.

Good call,i was going to suggest the Blue room also...

There is a member selling a complete suspension for $125 obo but are not Bilsteins,States he only has 5k miles on them..

You just have to be patient but act fast when a good deal appears. Also, everything is negotiable. Asking price is sometimes different than selling price.

On a side note, I bought front and rear FJC springs that came with a daystar 2.5/1.5 kit as well for around 150 shipped. To my surprise the springs are brand new. Maybe 200 miles and from a trail team ed (not sure if that matters). I don't plan on using the front daystar kit because I went ahead and bought the bilstein 5100s. And hopefully, if all goes right, they are all going on tomarrow.

The point is, keep checking all the forums, ebay, and craigslist. Something will come up. And it just might surprise you. BTW, I found all that stuff on this forum.
 
I would try the dealer. I was quoted $268 with taxes for 4 TRD FJ shocks front and rear. However if you want it cheap going used might be a good option for you. sometimes you'll get lucky and just grab it for next to nothing, other times you pay around $100 more or less.

I want both the springs and shocks, I guess I assume that the springs are the same, I'm just wondering if the Bilstein shocks are that much better than the Tokico's.
 
tokicos come on the 4r sr5, the billies are firmer but in a good way, & will help with the stock sr5 nose dive. IMO, why settle for something basically the same if ur upgrading to better springs. they come with the trd package, so yes, they r better, u could also upgrade even more to 5100s with the FJ coils.

I want to install the stock FJ cruiser shocks/springs on my 2000 4runner for a better ride. Will the 08 fj factory bilstiens fit my 00 runner?
