FJ to 4runner Suspension help

Hey everyone, I posted this question in another thread but since I hit the 20 post mark i figured I'd try my luck with my 1st thread.

I just bought a 2005 4runner limited v6 and the suspension needs to be replaced. I bought a stock suspension from a 2011 FJ cruiser with ~20k miles on it. I've heard that the springs are a direct fit but some modification needs to be done to the struts in order to fit. Does anyone know what modifications need to be done in order to run this setup on my runner?? I have only seen 1 write-up on the subject but it's old and unclear since the photos have been taken down...

Also, I want to put pair this with the daystar 2.5/1.5 kit but don't know which set to purchase (FJ or 4runner daystar kit)?? Are they the same??

Here is a picture of what i bought for reference. Any input is greatly appreciated as I'd like to get the ball rolling asap. Thanks in advance!!

Any set of the day stars will fit. The eye of the bottom of the struts have a bit more material on the sides to guide the bolt. Just grind a bit off each side to fit in the 4Runner housing. That’s about it.

That is weird. Well I have the 4Runner kit from like 6-7 years ago and never had an issue with fj or taco struts. I guess you can use the 4Runner top hats on the struts if they’re different.
