FJ wheels on my 4Runner (pics)

Yeah, I know I'm not the first to do this, but some of the other guys caught my eye by putting FJ wheels on their 4Runners. I really like the look and I love the way the more aggressive offset fills out the wheel wells.

I ended up going back to the dealer to get my tires mounted, which was a good deal for $93 to mount/balance 4 wheels/tires, especially considering that they have the adapter necessary to balance Toyota wheels.

I asked them to mount the tires with the white letters IN, but as you can see, they screwed that up. They offered to turn them around, but I was in a hurry to get out of there, so I told them that I'll come back another day. Should I leave them white letters out, or should I make them turn the tires around???

I agree...the FJ wheels do look better than stock rims.

Toyota should have put these wheels on the 4Runner in the first place. I liked them on the FJ, and maybe I'm a bit biased, but I think they look better on a 4Runner!

Looks good.

Keep the white out. They look good that way (plus nothing worse than seeing the white in, on any tire, as you glance at a vehicle from certain angles, IMHO.)

I personally am going to go white letters IN when I get a new set of rubber, and hopefulyl diitry those white letters up real quick like ;-)

Commander looks OK from the rear...but the front nose looks weak and too bling-bling.

You can find a set of new (take-offs) on ebay for about $350 - $400 all the time. I got a set of 5 for $500 in mint condition. Apparently, they were taken off an FJ before it was delivered to its owner at the dealership, so the wheels are flawless.

They are just painted. I never really liked the looks of the bumper lenses (reflectors), so I had them painted when I got the LED tails, since they have built-in reflectors. I like the look much better now!

Not really digging the Commander at all. What's up with the grab handles, looks like the garbage or fire trucks around here.

Looks good Even Steven. The letters are ok, doesn't bother me too much. My Taco has RWL on them too. The only time it doesn't look good either when it's dirty or when they've rubbed the curb one time too many.

Nothing. Just swap the sensors to the new wheels.
