FJ Wheels... What a D*#K!

So tonight I drove a good 40 miles to ERIE CO to look at 5 Like new FJ Wheels I found on craigslist with "Good tires" for $375. Drove up an all the wheels were dirty, 4 of the 5 had scuffs, rock chips, crap I couldn't get off and the tires were bald!! So I tell him I'll take them for $300 and he gets pissed off! Tells me that I'm wasting his time and that he wont sell them to me because I don't really really want them...LOL Oh and this guy was washing his 911 Porsche Turbo the ENTIRE time I was their so how am I wasting "his" time. His FJ has a stage 4 Icon lift custom TRD 16" Wheels with Nitto TG's 33" said he has put in over 10K on the FJ! Guy was incredibly rude! I was SO pissed! Is $75 really gonna kill this guy! Not at all! WOW FJ GUY IS A D*#K!!

thats sad, Ive found that alot of FJ owners (not all) are just rude people that think thier $hit dont stink.

Ya man. If you have the SR5 17's, as far as looks go, I don't really see the point in going to the FJ wheels. But I know many people do like them better. I think the stockers are cool. To me exhaust is more fun for your money :D

What I really really want are the 18" Limited wheels with good tires if someone wants to swap for 17" with New 265/70/17 Duratrac's... I have been looking for the 18" wheels for awhile now. Can't find in CO used. I should just find some soccer mom around town and ask to swap plus $100 :-) They are everywhere where I live!

Hell ya. I love the limited wheels. You should try the soccer mom thing, maybe you can even get a little more than the wheels out of it :banana::lmao:
 
I like the 18" Limited wheels too. With a little more lift I'd like a set of 265/70/18's (lots of choices, cheap and 32.6" tall :bigok: ).


Do you like any of the GX470 wheels? What about last gen Tundra/Sequoia? Did they use 18's?
 
i thought the tundras and sequoias were 17's. but not sure... i think the sport 16 inch wheels look sick on the 03-05 4runners but you want 17 or 18 inch.

GX470 only has one style of wheel IIRC. Last gen sequoia was 16" and 17" only I think. I don't remember seeing any other wheels except for those ugly BBS looking ones... those may have been 18. But I would go limited wheels all day over those things.

LOL no kidding right? he doesnt realize that there are prob 100 T4r members within 30 minutes of him! we could always use the Porsche as a nice flex spot!

keep up the search man, I was kinda thinking the same thing, maybe go and find someone with FJ trd rims and see if they want a clean swap for my procomps...

obviously it would be someone who likes the aftermarket look better than the stock one.

whoa whoa! Lets not be too hasty. Leave the porsche alone :) Use the owner's front lawn/porch as a mini ORV park. I'll take (care of?) the porsche :lookout:

OP-just keep looking, patience is key. Maybe try searching other local craigslist ads? (CO Spgs/Boulder/Ft.Collins, etc).
People like the guy you dealt with aren't worth talking to!
 
I'll keep looking for wheels tho they aren't a Need... just a want :biggrin2:
I wanted them because I was going to sell my Sport wheels to my sister but I ended up finding a great deal for her in Parker! '06 SR5 Wheels with NEW Revos for $500! So If or when I get new wheels I'll be selling my Sport wheels no tires unless I get limited then I'll sell with the Duratrac's.

Oh and do you guys want his address? LOL we could all crawl on the Porsche! Or just have 15-20 4Runners lining his street while he is out washing his rigs.

Sisters 99 with the $500 Shoes! :reddance:
