I wonder what the issue is that causes the tires to lose pressure?



'07 Toyota FJ Cruiser


Tires could lose pressure and cause crash.

Models: 9,434 sport-utility vehicles. Recall involves modes equipped with Bridgestone Dueler or Dunlop Grandtrek tires.

What to do: Have dealer inspect tires, including spare, and replace them, if necessary.

Wow, yeah I wonder what is wrong. Those are the same tires the 4Runner comes with too and some of us have been running these for 60k+ miles. Unless there is something wrong with the new batch of tires? Or maybe when these tires are combined with the FJ rims? All guesses on my part...

Wow! That FJC forum announcement came directly from Toyota Motor Sales USA. Have they ever posted on the T4R forum?

If not, I sort of feel left out. Why don't they communicate directly with us as well?

That kinda pissed me off so I pm'ed them with this message. We've been "entusiasts" about 4 wheeling and the 4runner for a long time why does the FJ get special treatment. It would be nice to get feedback and direct communication with TMS.

Hmm, they probably wont respond to your question. If you aimed it a little more mature and not say it like: "well how come they get this and we dont, waaaaaaaa". I would have put it a little diffrently and more professional.

Maybe its just me, i work in a professional corporate world, where your appearance and first impressions mean a lot. And the way you ask and approach people for something can make or break the deal. Sorry if you dont understand me.

I agree with Baba Booey. If you don't or didn't like the way Toybox worded his letter, then you, being a professional, could write them a letter also.

What would you like Toyota to respond to on this board?

I'm sure Toyota is answering the FJ crowd directly partly due to their stake in a new vehicle as opposed to 4Runners which pretty much sell themselves.
Also that FJ forum is the largest dedicated to that vehicle and it's already quite a busy site.

4Runners and other Toyota SUVs/trucks have several boards dedicated to them so it does get spread out a bit. This forum is very dominated by 4th gen Runners while yotatech draws the older gen crowd with off roading being a dominate topic and TTORA main focus seems to be the truck and a little more harcore guys over there.

Oh goodness, the "attack someones grammar" remark. Im not the one crying about Toyota USA not coming to this forum. Personaly, why would you want them here anyways? What duties or tasks could they help us with? 99% of any questions or problems that is asked here on T4R gets answered by someone who has personaly done it or has knowledge of it. I think its cool and great that they are on the FJ forums, but to send a PM to them saying that this forums does get the attention theirs does is bullshit and immature. The guy i am talking about even responded with the exact reasoning behind what i was saying. He must not get where i am coming from since he posted the same thing. Oh well, i wish you guys the best on getting Toyota USA on this forum, i dont know what it will prove other then they thinking we are a bunch of whiney little kids and the squeeky wheel gets the oil type of thing, but good luck with your quest, im sure it will turn out just like you wanted.
