Flat cargo area without double decker?

JB.

I have the Double Decker cargo system and here's a pic of the full cargo area. The DD has a raised floor with the middle filler pieces you can see in the pic leveling the cargo floor with the folded seats. How does it look without the DD? Do the folded seats create a rise in the full cargo floor? Pics would be great.

Wow, I didn't think about that. I was going to order a new 2007 and didn't need the DD system but you raised the question to me now...is it going to be flat without the DD? eeeek.

Without the DD, it won't be flat. There will be a one inch or so raise to where the second row seatbacks are I didn't need the DD option either, and even thought to remove it, but then, after looking into it, decided I liked things in the back flat, for sleeping on and such when camping.

Yeah No kidding! :awais: I think I'll make sure to add that to my list of stuff to order! ;):

I run my rig as a 2 seater - took the lower part of the back seat out to get the front of the back to lay flat. Also allows the front seats to lumbar almost flat. Gives a bit extra room under and behind the front seats as well.

That's a good idea about removing the seat bottoms. I've been using mine as a two seater lately also, but I have to be ready at all times to set it back up for rear seating. I sleep in it a lot, though, and even though there have been a million double decker threads, if the flat vs unflat thing was ever mentioned, I missed it.

I've always liked the system and only now realize I have one more reason to do so.

I never knew this , good idea JB , I like the back to lay flat. Easy sliding stuff in & out , sleeping , ect ...

I guess I'm liking it too for that reason. Otherwise I've honestly never found a use for it.
