not to thread jack but i wonder why centrifugal blowers never caught on for 4runners? in my mustang days they were huge, and sound awesome! maybe the mounting poses to many issues
edit* just googled and they are better performers at the top end of the RPM range, so that makes sense. carry on, I want to hear turbo sounds!!!!!!
There was absolutely no power, not even a flicker on the dash, or radio.
I put the charger on it the whole weekend, but haven't looked back at it yet, might get a chance on Thursday.
You ever figure out what drained your battery?
EDIT: Forgot to ask, where are you returning the oil to? Top of oil cap? Pan?

Decided to drive her home and I made it !!!
Running down the highway it's bumping around 14.5 to 15 ish which makes me pretty happy. Also cruising at 60 mph it's at 2 psi which I never thought I'd see at cruise. It'll also hit 5 psi with a slight touch of the gas pedal. I definetly need to get this snow meth kit installed and a set of colder plugs.
The other thing I had to do when I got home was back the screw outa my bov a bit, I heard flutter in the turbo. Tomorrow I'll take it to work and get some more miles on her.
Isn't 14.5-15 on the wideband a little on the lean side for driving down the highway?
Im a little confused at this thing showing 2 psi when cruising down the highway, now this is the first time I used a electronic boost gauge, maybe its wonky?
Sounds wonky to me! What is it at idle and cruising around town? You can test it with a compressed air source to see if the sensor is faulty. It doesn't sound right.Nope that's about where the stock ecu will keep these engines when in closed loop. Before I put the turbo on my wideband was right around there too. My buddies Chevy Avalanche actually ran around 17 on the highway, guess that's how they get 28mpg outa a v-8. (Now its at 15 ish with the Wipple)

How fast were you going? I'm assuming you were traveling on a flat road with little to no inclines?
Wow, that's crazy. My tuner for my nitrous fed silverado and corvette always seemed to shoot for 12.5.
Looking forward to reading more updateslayball:

So a couple more thing to work out.
My timer for the scavange pump is set for 30 seconds. My drive way is a pretty good angle and I drove up it. In the morning I started her up and some oil blew outa my turbo, which ment either the pump needs to run longer or some oil is running back into the turbo. This morning I backed into my driveway and it didn't leak when I started her. At work after I shut her down I un did my drain line and there was no oil in it, looks like I might be backing in the driveway only lol.
Driving to work on the highway I threw a p0171 code, maf/O2 which didn't surprise me. I cleared it and will see if it settles down with time.
custom turbos, yup:juggle:
