so over the past few days I redid my suspension.
I was not having issues other than worn shocks and springs and a touch of vibration ( sagging waggin)
so my original thoughts were preventative work ( other than shocks and springs)
or so I thought....
no real vibration.....no loud noises
but when I got the driver side LBJ off....it was on borrowed time I bet.
watery grease came out and it was real loose compared to the pass side
the pass side felt as good as the new one ( from Toyota)

so folks....if you got 150k or more with original LBJ's might be worth thinking about

I'm pushing 200k on my 97. LBJ failure is a constant worry for me.

I just need to buckle down and replace them already.

Thanks for the cautionary tale.

Do you know if you or PO ever replaced them under the Toyota SSC back in 05 i think? Reason i ask is mines were, but do i need to worry about it still?
