floor jack with running board, 2005 V6 4WD

does running board get in the way when you jack up the front of the vehicle?
do you jack from the side or the front to lift front wheels?
How about the back, access with floor jack from rear of side rear?

Do NOT jack it up from the running board! You can use the main fram rail running down the sides of the car. It's not a unibody like cars use. You shoulud see the frame when you're under there.

Right. My question was really, do I need to remove running board to jack up the ride, or it's easier doing it from the front and back of the vehicle, rather than the sides. I imagine if you do it from sides, wouldn't the running board hinder the movement of long floor jack handle?

nope, i've never had that problem with mine. i mean don't go slamming the handle around as it might hit something, but if you're smart about it, you shouldn't have any issues. most jack handles don't have to use the full range of motion to lift.

Why aren't you putting the jack under the rear axle or under the front lower control arm?
