Does anyone know of any decent trails around Fort Myers? I've been itching to get mine dirty here lately....I'm too busy to take off and go somewhere else for an entire day, but I'm up for finding a place nearby for a couple hours....

My truck is a wuss though, it's only 2wd, so I guess I'd have to keep it mild.

Big Cypress National Park has some off road trails, but I think you have to buy a one year permit in order to use them, its like $50. Ive never been on the trails myself, but a friend with a jeep told me about them. Also I have gone to Withlacoochee which is probably quite a drive for you, it is between tampa and ocala, but it is really nice not just for offroading, but there are some sweet underground caves that you can explore. I am probably going to go back there within the next 2 or 3 weeks sometime I will make a post when i know when I can go. I am also interested in finding more places to go here in FL.

Yeah, Withlacootchie sounds like a drive from me, if it's between Tampa and Ocala....Sounds cool though. I would love to find a place with some good trails for my 4R and for me on my bike....

you should cruise out to Deland. There are quite a few trails out there, right around Lake Winnimisset right off of 40.

So I know this thread is very old. I also know that the OP won't get an email about me replying. But if you come back and see this, PM me and next time I'm down in Naples I'll give you a buzz. I know a few places where you can have fun with your 2WD. We can go ride together for a few hours. I had a 2WD for 4 years so I know where you're truck can go. I used to get stuck occasionally, but if you do, I'll be there to pull you out, and I have a winch, and I have a 4WD now. So no worries. Hope you see this sometime!
