Lets see
- an unverifiable deleted 2nd instagram account
vs
- clear undeniable voting records showing he was a registered democrat.

put that critical thinking to use bruh, authentic account - no maga hats... 2nd fake account - nothing but maga hats.

What is your source for the undeniable voting records showing as a dem and the maga hat account was fake? Are you believing the memes that are floating around? Instagram even released a statement stating the maga hat account was real and removed by them because of the tragedy.

Fair points. I also think you’re right that more gun control may not have prevented the last shootings, but gun control may have limited the number of deaths and injured. The far right crowd here only addresses the far left crowd of taking away all guns. There’s a middle ground that gets ignored.

Personally, I’m tired of seeing kids having to get buried. If the far right wants to keep their AR’s, then we need to offer solution besides, thoughts and prayers and arguing why guns aren’t a problem. You’re not being novel or clever and sure as shitnnever going to convince anybody on really old regurgitated ideas and Facebook memes.

Ironically, I saw a meme today that called for the arming of all teachers, and the response was “ you bastards won’t even buy them pencils and printer ink but now you’ve got the budget for glocks” which is painfully true. Arming school teachers is the stupidest ****ing thing I’ve heard, beside grandpa’s wooden rifle outdoing 800 hurt an 60 killed in Vegas. Addressing mental illness though, isn’t. But it’s not easy. And you have to acknowledge that the president made it easier for the mentally ill to guy guns by pulling some recent gun legislation.

Something I see after every school shooting is the dems won’t even wait for the bodies to be cold before asking for gun control, when the right does the same thing over immigration and anything Islam related. I’m not changing the subject here. I’m fine with talking about any subject and looking at the merit of both sides. But pretending we don’t have a problem, and thinking that’s the solution, is not right.

What is a "middle ground" to you?

Gun restrictions and controls have been put into place for decades. It's always the same folks crying to do something, it's a "compromise". One side giving something up for nothing is not a compromise.

So where is the middle when so much has already been taken?

First it was full auto's, then suppressor a, then background checks, then no more carrying weapons, then an assault weapons ban, now standard capacity mag band at the state level...

It just keeps going. Be honest, this "middle ground" is nothing more than hollow verbiage.

We've given up so much for nothing in return and yet it isn't enough. The middle keeps moving and you keep wanting more.

All the while, none of the restrictions or controls have done squat to change anything other than makes matters worse or remained completely unchanged where the greatest restrictions and controls are in place.

We reached a "middle ground" long ago in giving up our rights. It doesn't work. I'm not giving anything else up.

Why should I? If I gave up everything I owned that's not going to stop anyone from doning evil deeds.

I think everyone should give up their cars and we would all be safer. No one "needs" a car. A middle ground needs to be struck. So give up any vehicle capable of going faster than 55 mph. Any vehicle over 1 ton. Any vehicle that looks scary. Etc. motorcycles- wow, no need for them. You can ride a bike- it's safer. Let's do it in the name of progress. For the kids. Just compromise and give up your cars. Lives will be saved.

Exactly. Just look at the UK for example. Once we lose something, there is no way we are getting it back. Gone forever. The Dems are trying to play on our emotions and creating victims to further their control over American citizens.

There have been no school shootings in the UK since 1996 though.

I like guns, I don't want to ban them, but school shootings and violence are increasing. While banning guns isn't the answer, there has to be some action to say this isn't acceptable.

After the Mueller\Rosenstein thing following the firing of Comey it was fairly obvious Trumps attacks on the FBI were an attempt to silence them. He knew they had something and was doing everything within his power to prevent it coming out.

This generation of kids is a bunch of softies. We used to handle business with bare knuckles and now, they are afraid to be without their emotional support hamsters and binkies. Society has grown a generation of people afraid to handle adversity before it becomes a tragedy.

And since it's the truth, no amount of gun control would have prevented this. He was under the age legally able to buy or own that rifle. So he either stole it from someone or obtained it in some sort of manner inconsistent with current law. Whomever purchased that rifle should be an indirect accomplice because they failed to prevent this. And his parents should be hauled in too! SOMEONE knew this kid was a loose cannon before this happened.

I agree. I'm only 25 but legally own guns and believe in them as long as they are not in the wrong hands. Safety comes before all when dealing with firearms. I'm assuming the gun was his father's. His dad died from a heart attack 3 years ago and his mom died of pneumonia in November of 2017. Sounds like he had no support system and was probably not raised with the morals or integrity so few of us are nowadays.

Super sad all around. Unfortunately, no amount of gun control will fix this issue.

I like guns, I don't like Trump. 13 year old bully is how I see him.
Wish the media would stop feeding his insane EGO.
Just the fact he was elected has made it clear to me that voting/democracy is broken. Or the people are broken?
I am not a Ruskie troll.

I for the most part have liked America, although the first 30 years I liked better.
These last 17 years, it feels like I flashed into some other parallel universe, and its just straight up wacky here.

The whole BAN issue seems to always be driven by emotional persons.
Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

The FL shooter fired 150rds. At 17 dead... not very accurate. Ar-15 .223 Is a very fast .22 sized round. May in fact be lucky the AR-15 is used in schools.

The AR-15 round has a tendency of passing through a small target.
Didn't the military find that out shooting up Vietnam and Afghanistan?

.357 Mag pistol makes way bigger holes in things. So do AK47's.

My 97 year old Granma thinks the 'bad' gun is the AR47. Not sure she understands the difference between semi-auto and full-auto.
I have explained it to her...still foggy about it she is.
She is a really good shot too...BTW.

Is that the media?...clue less, with their own agenda. Combine the AR-15 and AK47...sounds more evil or something.

I have seen guys empty clips using a finger bumping with recoil technique, in a flash...hit anything...not so much.
With pistols and rifles.

Fix what you actually can.
Secure the schools. State level. Community level.
Do something both sides can agree on instead of just running the same BAN routine.
Stop feeding psychotic drugs to unstable individuals, get them help.

And to that someone that complains about guns, then takes the airplane every week. There are over 10,000 planes in flight at any given moment. What is the damage they are causing just with the endless amounts of fuel burning.
Carbon and exhaust emissions, your gun is that airplane, you just don't even see it. More exposure to higher level of radiation, probably not aware of that.

Climate change...that's not real...wake up folks!
2 feet snow here xmas 2016...dust storm for xmas 2017...

Thanks for asking the question. I get it, you and I are only 1 dude, but the open dialogue is important.

I've argued it before, no one is trying to ban cars because that's silly. I also think banning guns is silly, as I think most of the left would generally agree. America is a gun culture, no denying that. With that comes increased risk for certain problems, and we need to implement risk controls to mitigate that. ******* mows down a crowd with his van at a festival, no one tries to ban vans because thats a dumb argument. But we ask how can we prevent that. That might be increased law enforcement powers or as simple as concrete barriers at the next festival. Getting rid of guns is not the solution, and no one will ever agree to that. But the solution is implementing risk controls. What those are, are where the adults in the room make decisions.

A couple weeks ago I got to shoot a mini-gun for training through work. Its not something I get to practice very often for a multiple of reasons, but I let off about 1000rd burst into a simulated urban target and it was rad. As awesome as this is, I don't think the public needs to have access to weapon systems like that. And I've seen videos on youtube of guys who have similar systems.

A couple years ago, there was a string of questionable police killings/use of force. The public was outraged and it seemed like every week there was a new video out. In the military, its funny, and awful, but when somebody does something stupid, everybody else gets their balls put in a vice grip. For instance, I was in Okinawa and somebody, in another service, got a DUI. The next day the entire military force on the island was barred from leaving base for months. So I guess, maybe I'm used to 1 person ruins something for everybody.

Maybe you're right though, maybe new laws aren't the answer. But I'd settle for uniform laws and the enforcement of them. Lets be real, I get your argument of first this, then that, and so on. But, lets not be dumb. It was not a fully automatic weapon in Vegas, but... it actually was, right? High-capacity magazines? In at least some states, there's a ban on magazines with more than 10 rds. But, you can buy 'magazine parts' and create a hi cap magazine from that. I know plenty of good dudes who own weapons, and theres dudes who are upstanding citizens who are gun owners who find little loop holes to get around some of that stuff. The military fudged it away for the texas church shooter and he bought a weapon when he wasn't supposed to. I get it, there's a lot of laws already. But if they're not enforced, and you know they're not enforced, then they're nothing more than a B****ing point you can bring up when another 13 kids are getting buried and some parent is crying on the news asking for someone to do something.

"In retrospect Sandy Hook marked the end of the US gun control debate. Once America decided killing children was bearable, it was over."

Because I'm not sure the names of the victims have been mentioned, or that they've even been considered on a personal level yet in this discussion.

Something something about your rights and the need to protect yourself from government Boogeymen Trump's all of this, I know....

**** this is the example of complete ignorance, he has not read a single post by some of you peoplekind going into extensive detail about how gun control would not prevent mass murder.

Yes this is a terribly sad situation for these kids and their families. You are not American your opinion on my bill of rights and guns do not matter.

4chan. LoL. You’re pathetic and desperate and don’t really deserve any interaction. Good luck out there.

4chan is where your disproven assumption that Nikolas was a "white supremicist" came from my boy. You know the one you were pushing in the first half of this thread? yes thats the one. The only thing you have contributed to any off-topic discussion is crying "not my president"...

we know we know you hate trump guns and freedom and all those with a different political belief than you. You are the critical thinking liberal and everyone who voted trump has the iq of a rat fetus

Meet you in the middle:

1) the Russians really did attack our elections and try to sway public opinion in the election. We need to enact protections before the next election.

2) the Democrats lost for a lot of reasons mostly because of bad candidate, bad message, badly executed campaign. Hillary finally visited Wisconsin -- on her book tour.

1) agree 100%
2) agree 100%, don’t forget the antiquated electoral college system also

Her turn my ass, garbage doesn’t deserve a turn - like choady.

You lost because of the past 30 years of lifetime politicians running the country. The American people got tired of the corruption.

Nice typical liberal tactic, HEy guys off-choader should be silenced... now the name calling..

Ill keep my president, my first amendment right and the 2nd

And you do not come from a country with gun control so your opinion that gun control doesn't work does not matter.
Do you see how silly that position sounds when reversed?
