[MENTION=92049]LandCruiser[/MENTION] is spot on. you lose your right to vote if you're a federal convict as well as your right to own a gun... that's what the background check is for. if you're mentally ill you cannot, where that line is I feel should be revisited it's very tricky though because again, you really can't and shouldn't get in trouble for what you might do, only for what you have already done and demonstrated you're capable of. that's the issue in my mind. you also can't own a gun if you're dishonorably discharged from the military and a few other things. enforcing our current laws is the easiest first step we can make. doesn't make it the only step but come on at least start there.

It's absolutely disgusting to see the POTUS exploiting the deaths of these children in an attempt to erode trust in the law enforcement agency investigating him.
What's also disgusting is the literal cult like mindset of his supporters who continue to look the other way.
America is in a really bad spot right now, though I maintain faith in proud self respecting republicans like Mueller and Wray, and their duty to protect against enemies both foreign AND domestic, to get us back on track.

The FBI was too busy committing treason to take the threat of this kid seriously.
Trump is your President and is not getting impeached.

Police called dozens of times over shooting suspect--did nothing.
FBI informed over shooting suspect--did nothing.
Lots of laws on the books about mentally unstable/mentally ill/imminently dangerous individuals and guns, yet the aforementioned LEOs did nothing about what was an obvious clear and present danger.
So your mindset after all of this happened is to ban guns and impeach Drumpf, because it's their fault that America is this way?
That's utter nonsense.
We have a failure of common sense, law enforcement, and indulge mentally ill people. Someone going around calling themselves a "school shooter" needs to be in a mental ward and his guns in a Sheriff's locker.
Can't fix stupid, and you can't cry how this is Drumpf's fault.
