I don’t get why this parenting comment is aimed at libs? It’s not a bad idea but your target audience is wrong. The country is being over run by Clevon’s, pretty soon we will all be eating at Butt Fu**ers and watching ouch my balls.


Also,in 99% of these school shootings the kid uses their parents gun. Maybe a lib parent wouldn’t be dumb enough to have a gun that their kid can get access to shoot up a school.

The licensing portion was aimed at libs because it's a common argument that gun owners need to be licensed or even individual arms need to be licensed. History has shown us why that's a bad idea and as long as we don't need a license for free speech, we don't need one for bearing arms.

Would you be ok with say an additional 30% tax on all firearms and ammunition to fund mental health institutions that prevent deranged people from buying guns? Its the only problem that exists in most of your minds. Or does that infringe on your rights as well?

I don't think this issue will go forward as"gun crontrol", we're an inventive species, theres a solution. My hope is that we don't have to actually lose our children anymore to these terrorists with access to what amounts to destructive devices. We don't need any bans, but what's so hard about talking about common sense ideas. The 2nd amendment is worded in such a way as constantly need debate, the drafters where geniuses in leaving it to the nation to rule themselves as new eras outpace the old. This makes a 230+ year old document relevant today, because it's not just blanket dogma.

we have a gun problem, sportsmen and gun supporters can either lead the charge using their experience and knowledge to draft sensible solutions or be left behind as the pendulum swings and overbearing controls are put in place. the number of us gun owners who are okay with, and and asking for, more gun control is large and growing.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness"

You are making a false connection. The second amendment does not directly correlate to death of another. I've owned dozens of firearms and been shooting since I was 4. Yet no gun I've ever owned has killed or even injured anyone, except that one time the slide pinched some skin on my finger when I was cleaning it.

Th actions of a loon should not interfere with rights of the masses. Should we limit your ability to purchase anything bigger than a bicycle for transportation because some idiot runs a bunch of people over in NY? Should we censor your speech because someone you've never met leaks classified intelligence?

Fix parenting. Re-instill morals in children. Individuals need to take responsibility for their actions. Mental health needs to be a priority. Agencies also need help enforcing our existing laws and taking action on threats.

Yes, let's remember that these amendments were written after winning a revolution against the most powerful military in the world with what amounted to farm guns. A trick I don't think we'd be able to pull off today. I think someone mentioned "brining a gun to a drone fight" the amendments about peaceable assembly, quartering, unreasonable search and seizure were all born of actions taken by the British before and during the revolution. I think the 2nd is often a red herring, a thing folks try an point to, to shut down an argument. amendments can be changed, also there is a bit of hero worship (I am guilty of this as well) regarding our founding fathers, we must remember the founding fathers were men, and all men are fallible. therefore so is the bill of rights. "all men were created equal" lets illustrate this by only allowing white land owning men to vote... hmmm seems like times have changed since the 1700's. the reality is gun ownership is an American institution, it's part of our culture, like the road trip and eating at diner's, getting together with family on Thanksgiving. It will not and should not go away, but not only because of the 2nd, because it's who we are as a country, for better or worse. training, yes please, sensible restrictions on ownership, yes please. blanket bans that make otherwise law abiding citizens criminals? no thank you. Accept that guns and gun ownership is a part of American culture, and not just part of the bill of rights, it's not going anywhere and it shouldn't.

Like most rights, the right secured by the Second Amendment is not unlimited. From Blackstone through the 19th-century cases, commentators and courts routinely explained that the right was not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose. DC v Heller is probably the most comprehensive decision when it comes to reviewing contemporaneous meanings and understandings of the 2nd amendment and court decisions and beliefs since then, and even it clearly states that gun control is okay and banning dangerous weapons is constitutional

I honestly don’t know how Trump will get anything done until Fox and friends goes off the air. Once that happens he may then have some free time to focus on running the country

  • He married Michelle to give him a leg up in the political sphere. She worked at the law firm where he was trying to make gains as a recent grad. Her best friend's dad was none other than Jesse Jackson. At this point he admittedly was already taking steps to posture himself for a presidential run.
  • He first dipped is toes into politics by running a voter registration campaign (supposedly nonpartisan, but lets get real... he's in liberal central).
  • He taught and practiced law with a special focus on racism law, EEOC, etc. Most politicians start out as lawyers and again he was building his cred for office. To give you perspective he billed all of 3700 hours in 4 years. That's barely part-time for those of us that actually work for a living. The rest of this time he served on multiple boards and committees, all with left leaning political ambitions.
  • After 4 years of that nonsense, he announced his first candidacy. 2 years later he walked into the Oval office.

So yeah, lifelong politician. Don't get me wrong, it was quite a feat. But we all payed for it in the end and yes his entire adult life was built around that achievement. I kind of feel bad for those that voted for him. They were duped. Not so much for those that voted the second time.

He's been in for just over a year.. and despite infighting on the right, insolence on the left, and a constant barrage from the media, I'd say he was pretty productive.

Year One List: 81 major Trump achievements, 11 Obama legacy items repealed

He's not without his flaws obviously. But give credit where it's due.
