Florida School Shooting

Simple....limit the weapons available to those that Police the Citizenry to Semi-Auto and a 20 round Mag. Now limit the Citizens to same. Now you have parity in keeping with limiting Tyrants from subjugating the People. That is in the Spirit and intent of the 2nd, and should pacify most folks and Courts.

I think you're missing my point the vast majority isn't enough 100% is enough also we are a part of society and we owe it to our fellow man to act responsibly. I agree totally that we need to enforce current laws and really change the way we deal with mental health. I also am not trying to speak on behalf of anyone, I am saying we need to start a national conversation and reach a consensus. this is a democracy, or hadn't you heard.

I think most would agree that a 60 round magazine serves no useful purpose. the 3/10ths of a second argument is neat and all if you want to focus on the negative, I would encourage people to try and support the positive. I hear you, reducing magazine counts won't fix the problem. real question, what benefit do they provide? what material benefit will be lost without them, I mean you just busted your whole argument if you can reload a 10 round magazine so fast, why do you need a 60 round? same thing with a bump stock ok so someone can duplicate that with a drill and a shoe string, well ok great so then you won't miss them... what useful purpose does a bump stock provide a normal responsible law abiding gun owner? I think there are some easy ways to make sense of guns in this country, but as a gun owner I can assure you I wouldn't shed a tear if these things went away tomorrow, that said, and as I already pointed out I think there's nothing wrong with 12, 14, 15 round capacity so my whole point with my first post is instead of living in the ridiculous and dealing in absolutes why not have an intelligent discussion about where a reasonable mutually agreeable limit can be found?

You aren't ever getting 100% of anything man. That's a pipe dream. But if you think you should restrict millions of Americans because of a select few have issues (not to mention the system is failing them and we aren't addressing the root cause) you are of your gourd. Should we restrict private transportation just because there are 10,000 DUI related deaths per year?

Please tell me you understand the difference between liability and government persecution...

if you want to give a speech, like a rally you need to actually pull a permit from the local government. also slander laws are only laws because they are written by governments. if you shoot someone their family can sue you for wrongful death, doesn't mean the government doesn't make the rule that makes it possible. Also if you yell "fire" in a crowded theater you will get arrested. so please tell me you know the meaning of the words you're actually typing before you type them:thanks:

I am hardly "our of my gourd" and your example is absurd there is a clear benefit to private transportation... though the self driving car is coming. however you totally failed to answer or even address my questions. what benefit do these things provide? why is the world better off with them than without, I can answer that question regarding automobiles easily enough. Also look at the world and history the few always ruin it for the many, why do you imagine this should be treated differently?

Full auto is banned because of a law introduced by a Republican and signed into law by Reagan with the approval of the NRA

Well which is it? Is the NRA the boogey man that owns republican politicians and refuses any sort of gun laws? Or are they an organization that themselves has contributed to the regulation of firearms for over 100 years?

I'm personally not a member because membership alone amounts to registration and they have failed the spirit of 2A continuously. It's a money grab. I'm just thankful there are enough like-minded voters to keep our representative in check.

Ah yes clear benefit to private automobiles... except all that carbon footprint stuff, growing amount of waste, usage of non-renewable energy, 40K deaths per year and another 2-3 million injuries per year in the US alone. Just because the few ruin it for the many does not mean it has to continue. Jesus is that really your argument?

look man, I'm really not interested in playing a whataboutisim game with you, answer my question or admit your argument is a failure.

NRA Supported the National Firearms Act of 1934

Me and 3 buddies just joined the NRA, and my dad who hasn't been a member for 10-15 years just renewed his membership. Feels good, real good. I am not a huge NRA fan and in fact they have irritated me in the past but I just felt like it was the right thing to do. Plus dana loesch is spiceeey hot.

I'm going to stop responding to you after this because you can't get out of your own way. You would get destroyed in a real debate and here you actually have time to think before you type.

Yes rallies require city permits (not federal, for which 1A protects). However you do not need a permit to go outside and say something, for example "ban all guns because they are scary" as loud as you want. you could also organize a rally on many private properties without any such permits.

Slander is not a federal crime and the government does not prosecute for slander. That's a civil matter.

Shooting someone? Yeah that violates federal, state, and usually local laws, but that's not something that's protected by the Constitution.

Yelling fire in a theater... again not a federal crime. It's usually a violation of town ordinances, perhaps state in some areas. But no, Uncle Sam doesn't give two shits if you yell fire. There's also civil liability here.

you were implying that your 1st amendment rights give you the ability to say whatever you want whenever you want. there are federal, and local laws around guns as well but just the same it's in the bill of rights. so the point stands and actually in a debate, specifically in a policy debate your entire post would be turned and you would have given your opponent, which lucky for you I'm not trying to be here, a huge advantage... dummy. also you should look into who you're talking to before you say foolish things.

- people own guns
- some autistic kid gets one too
- threatens the school
- cops go to his house 36 times
- everyone and their mother knows he wants to shoot up a school
- he shoots up a school
- cops sit outside and dont stop him
- left blames NRA and gun owners
- scream cry protest march
- its the NRA fault the NRA are child killers
- GUNS ARE EVIL!

Wiki about PEPE... By 2016, the character's image had been appropriated[4] as a symbol of the controversial alt-right movement.[5] The Anti-Defamation League added certain incarnations of Pepe the Frog to their database of hate symbols in 2016, adding that not all Pepe memes are racist.[6] Since then, Pepe's creator has publicly expressed his dismay at Pepe being used as a hate symbol.[7]

Fine the pepe is gone, now are my arguments valid? Our political opinions differ, it does not mean you need to resort to insulting me on a personal level.

it's time to get cops out of schools so we can stop the school to prison pipeline

here is some good information about SROs that shows that students in schools with SROs are more likely to be arrested for low-level offences:

Given the join date and incessant inflammatory replies I was genuinely wondering if T4R may have it's own Russian instigator.

Behavioral problems can only be addressed so many ways. They are not fixed at home and discipline in the school is impossible. The officer is the last resort to try and correct juvenile behavior before they become legal adults.

so my sources are not valid information, but some dudes opinion on twitter is presented as statistical fact.. these numbers are a complete joke with no source... prison pipeline my ass
