Well it's most certainly not a political issue in my eyes, and I believe this transcends party lines, we have a responsibility as gun owners to our community, it's a complex and nuanced issue. I see a lot of people on both sides of the debate trying to over simplify it. If we can all agree that we should take some action and that inaction at this point is clearly unacceptable then we can move forward as a responsible society as to what actions should be taken, how and when... when did this become so hard?

after the san bernadino shooting ted cruz responded the next day at the RJC Forum. after sutherland springs shooting, trump blamed it on mental health the next day. after las vegas right wing media had posts blaming the "far left" by morning time. After orlando, trump waited just hours to tweet.
so if we don't want to follow the lead of the outspoken victims themselves, who's lead should we follow? ted cruz? president trump? right wing media? how long should we wait?

To all that have posted Pro/anti who of you have been in a situation where:
(When seconds count LE or Help is minutes away)?
I have been with handguns and long guns, not by my choosing, I'm alive.
Those that have or are Pro get it, and will keep this Freedom.
To those that are anti or inexperienced isn't it nice to be able to choose what you want to do
with your life or those around you when seconds count?

Anyone who wants 100% disarmament doesn't realize how quixotic and foolish that would be. I certainly don't want to disarm responsible gun owners (I own and shoot recreationally when I can afford the time and ammo).
I simply disagree with the NRA's stance that anyone with cash and a pulse should have unlimited access to firearms.

I would be ok with banning bump stocks in exchange for suppressors to be non-nfa items but that is about it. I regularly dump a 30 round mag on a pack of hogs... need moar rounds.

I know you meant that sarcastically but you're not actually wrong. the 1890's is often referred to as the Polite '90s because pretty much everyone had a two shot gun in their pocket, even the ladies with a pretty mother of pear handle... people were a lot nicer to one another.
