Flowmasters exhaust

Hello everyone. I am new to the website, but I have a pretty much stock 4runner and I am looking to start making some mods.

I was curious about some of the guys out there using flowmaster 40 series on their 4 Runner. I had this on my 99 GT Mustang and I loved them. I wanted to get some of your feedback on how it sounds with the V6 engine??? Or if there is a better exhaust for 4Runners out ther???

Thanks for the help guys.

im honestly just running a magnaflow muffler with all stock piping and it sounds amazing. been told that if you dont change out the headers with it, you get to much back pressure if you enlarge the pipes for a cat back exhaust. someone correct me if im wrong

Thanks man... Ill look into magnaflow mufflers. Thanks for the input

search for it on youtube or go to my cardomain (link in signature). I have a clip of mine on it. I like it, but it maybe to loud for some.

for whatever reason our runners sound pretty mean with just an exhaust. with mine i just did the magnaflow muffler, magnaflow tip, and a k&n cold air intake. whole thing ran me like $430 out the door, and i couldnt be happier

I've got the CherryBomb Vortex Muffler that a handful of other members have also and I'm very pleased with it. Not to mention it ran me a total of $80, install included.

If you can find the Jardine cat back exhaust for your 4runner go with that hands down. will be hard to find because they don't make them anymore but someone has to have some laying around. After that go with TRD cat back stainless steel and its oem. Other wise just get a muffler most people seem to really like the cherrybomb vortex one. You can listen to all of these on youtube. also if you just go with the muffler you will save alot more cash. but you wont have a completely brand new cat back because you will still have some regular stock piping that has been cut and re welded. this may bother you may not

Same here...just the muffler sounds awesome. The best part is it goes virtually silent on the freeway.
