flowmasters or magnaflow???

soo i have heard mixed opinons about which one to choose. i want it not to be too loud when i am going slow(or sneaking out) but i want it to sound nice when i step on it. something that for sure doesnt sound stock. and also doesnt loose performance.
which one would you reccomend for a 98 4runner?

18" Magnaflow for sure thats what I have I prefer the flow through design as opposed to a baffled muffler. It is a very personal opinion though on what you want.

No problem, the 18" would sound sicky on your truck. If you off road at all I would stray away from the fancy tips and shit like that or else they will get muffed up out there.

I would recommend a weld-in Aero 2525. I had one on my tacoma before I got the URD exhaust. Definately not stock once I got on it. imho the best sounding muffler available.

Well I don't have the Magnaflow on, which everyone here seems to like. I'm not saying which is better because that is all personal preference.

True true, its funny you dont hear Aero as much in the 4runner world but with Tacomas its more common. Aero does have a great sound so dont count this one out either.

Its 2.25" and yes you gotta weld it up, should be less than 30 bucks at a local shop to do that.

On the Magnaflow website when I try to find products for a 1998 4runner it doesn't even show products for Toyotas. Can someone post a link to the 24" Magnaflow muffler that would fit a 98' 4runner?

yea which magnaflow 18" are you guys getting? is this really noisy when the windows are up? i usually have my kids in the car so dont want anything too loud. part #.
