Fluid Change Intervals (Other than oil)

Looking at the Toyota recommended maintenance, there are no specific intervals listed for changing the differential, T-case, tranny, brake or power steering fluids. The only definite recommended fluid change (other than oil) was for the engine coolant at 100K (for normal driving conditions). I'm at my 60K service interval, so stopped by local dealer to check what their recommended service included. In additions to the normal inspection/service items, they recommend replacing the T-case and differential fluids every 30K, flushing the power steering system at 30K, and performing a brake flush at 60K.

So, what intervals are the T4R.org folks using and why? I don't do any hard core off roading (just basic dirt, gravel, fire road type trails), so would only need intervals for normal driving.

I have the same question regarding regular fluid replacement on a 2010 Limited. I was just wondering how many 5G 4Runner owners follow this schedule.
This is my wife's truck and her dealer amazingly never recommended any of these services along the way....most dealers I know recommend everything.

I am particularly interested in Automatic Transmission drain and fill and full replacement: When do you recommend this be done (truck is only used as a commuter car and only occasionally off road...no towing).
Also interested in Differential Fluid schedule.

Finally....what is a reasonable cost from dealer to do these jobs?
I have an Acura TL and do almost all of my own maintenance on that car, but I know very little about the maintenance about her truck. Any advice/information would be appreciated....thanks

I do my differential/T-case every 60K miles. Brake fluid, I siphon out most of it every time I change pads. If concerned, just do it. Yourself of course, save money from the stealer..

Tranny, power steering. Never touched. Still running like new. 2003 - 102K miles.

yeah...I figured that was the case. I am just surprised that the dealer doesn't try to sell me these or other basic service.

I always make up a spreadsheet for my cars service intervals and when I went into the owners service manual I was surprised that they recommend almost no service to fluids...just inspection.

I do brake fluid at 3 years due to water absorption and brake fluid bleed when I do rotors and pads, but was surprised that there is no ATF recommendation.

what? you mean I shouldn't get my headlight fluid changed every 7,000km?

I changed my front and rear diff at 5k on my '14 Limited. Was surprised at the initial amount of "silver" oil that came out, i.e. initial wear. I will do the same with my '16 TP

Might as well change it at about 500 miles. That will get the real break-in period stuff out. On the part time 4wd, you should wait until you have actually had 4wd engaged for a few hundred miles before changing the front. When in 2wd, the ring and pinion do not turn.
