Hey what's up everybody? I'm new the forum, just kind of stumbled across this one in my google searches.
I bought my 1988 4runner SR5 3.0 last year. It has about 279,000 miles on it and is running better than ever.
My truck's most recent history can be traced back to the Anza Borrego area. It came with some emissions problems. Turns out a couple of the previous owners had done some shady stuff to it in order to bypass emissions. I had some work done to it recently to remedy that, and since I repaired the emissions system, the truck is running better than ever and passes smog like a champ.
The truck is in pretty decent shape, with very little rust. I bought the truck to be a general purpose/utility truck so that I don't put miles on my Camaro.
I'm thinking about buying one of these for it, and am curious what others experiences/opinion are on it.
Ultimately, I'd love to have it repainted, and try to restore it a little bit to factory brilliance.
I'm a contractor for a DOD company so I'm away from home a lot, shoot guns in my spare time, drive my 2010 Camaro, and just generally enjoy life. I was in the Navy in a former life. I live in the San Diego CA area.
