FOB Problem You haven seen yet

97 Lim 4 runner 4x4
Has black box under seat.
I pressed the green button for X seconds with the key switched on, NO SECURITY LED, nothing. Cant get my LED to fire whatsoever. Its not responsive to any of the programming attempts I have made.

Popped off the cover of my RS3000 Security system under the seat (note: I'm 3rd owner) the circuit board was covered in mud and I assume at one point water.
I assume now that means the board is toast.

TopDown was parting out a runner so I just bought a RS3000 on a whim from him with same FCC Numbers on it.

Anyone think IM barking up the wrong tree? I mean see a fried board My gut wants to replace it.
Thoughts? Feelings?

Replace it and see what happens. Except for that box I believe it is just wiring that makes the kit, so it should work now. I know there is nothing special about each box so swapping one should be a simple process.
