Fog/Driving light switches.

Finally got around to wiring up my Hella 500s today, I installed them a while ago but couldn't locate a switch that I liked. Was going to use OEM fog lamp switches but they are discontinued in Canada and didn't feel like going on the hunt for them.

I ended up finding a couple of basic illuminated rocker switches at a British sports car accessory shop (the switches are actually made in England as well) for $5.00 each. A bit of a pain cutting out the switch deletes to get these suckers in (hence one slightly crooked) but I think the end result looks great and they have a nice solid 'click' feel when you operate them.

FYI - I'm useless with electrical but I found this install link to be super-helpful with wiring up the lamps!

Note: there are two switches, one is for the Hellas up front and the other is for the tractor spot on the back of my roof basket which I still need to hard wire - currently running it off my rear, constant 12v outlet for camping etc but want to use it as a reverse lamp option for those dark winter nights!

nice set up. i still have my 2 sets of 500's that i need to wire up. and where did you get that v6 emblem youve got on the back of your runner. id like to get one

Thanks man.

The V6 emblem came with the truck, never really thought about it really. Maybe its a Canadian badging? Funny, I was actually thinking of debadging that very emblem today as a friend of mine has a Hilux Surf "4x4" emblem that matches perfectly. If I do remove it I'll let you know.
