Finally got around to wiring up my Hella 500s today, I installed them a while ago but couldn't locate a switch that I liked. Was going to use OEM fog lamp switches but they are discontinued in Canada and didn't feel like going on the hunt for them.
I ended up finding a couple of basic illuminated rocker switches at a British sports car accessory shop (the switches are actually made in England as well) for $5.00 each. A bit of a pain cutting out the switch deletes to get these suckers in (hence one slightly crooked) but I think the end result looks great and they have a nice solid 'click' feel when you operate them.
FYI - I'm useless with electrical but I found this install link to be super-helpful with wiring up the lamps!
Note: there are two switches, one is for the Hellas up front and the other is for the tractor spot on the back of my roof basket which I still need to hard wire - currently running it off my rear, constant 12v outlet for camping etc but want to use it as a reverse lamp option for those dark winter nights!
The fronts...
The rear spot...
