Fog Light Bulbs

I've been searching, but haven't found a clear answer. I was planning on doing the H11 to H9 conversion for my low beams. What bulb sizes/watts are people using in their fog lights? I'm not ready to install the HID kit yet.

its a 9006 bulb, & depends on if you use the fogs as fog lights or driving lights, yellow bulbs work well for fog, (search hoen, etc.) or you can use HIR bulbs, they are brighter (more lumens) but also more $. HIR Headlights 9011 9012 bulbs HIR 9011 and 9012 bulbs are exactly identical in all dimensions to 9005 and 9006 bulbs, except for two areas, the second of wh or mod a 9005 bulb to fit the 9006 socket. suvlights.com

I highly recommend the Hoen Endurance Yellow fogs. They look nice and provide good visibility.

so has anyone put 9005's in the 06+ fogs?

i have winjet yellow fog housings and want more light out of them. they are already brighter then stock do to not having the extra reflector in the housing. if i was to go with a brighter bulb in 9006 i would have more of a white light. so end goal is more light but not trying to change the kelvin

Ordered 9005's. Next thought is if I also swap to h9 for headlight is that a bit much or should I stick with one

I have installed the H9 in the headlights and I'm glad I did so much brighter and whiter. My next step is to do the fogs. Post a picture when you put them in will ya?

well i went to change out the bulbs and one of my winjet fogs has a broken screw on the part that holds the bulbs so i need to get new fogs. dont know if the company is going to cover it or not

fixed my fog housing today. i ended up getting the cheapest 9005 and its only 60w but here are pictures to compare. i will not be able to give opinion unil tomorrow

Kevin, On my monitor, I see no difference between the bulbs. Is the new 9005 brighter? Is it too white, or stay yellow with the Winjet lens? I see there are 65w yellow 9005 bulbs with good reviews. I wonder how that would look with the yellow lens of the Winjet.

i only went from a 55w to a 60w. light output has changed some but the un capped bulb does make it shine different

I went with some 3000K Yellow HIDS + lamin-x yellow films for the fog lights, it makes for a very vibrant yellow hue when they're on, love em!
