Fog light install question

Hooking up a pair of PIAA 540 fog lights and need to find the low beam hot wire its a 98 4run. does any one know which if the 3 (red w/ black; red w/ green; or red w/ yellow) wires going in to the headlamp it is, if thats where i hook up the wire

If you have a voltmeter you could check to see which of those wires puts out a 12V reading when you turn on your head lights.
 
If you tie in on an ignition on signal (12v) instead of the low beams you will be able to light the fogs without the low beams. Fogs work better when the main head lights are off, less glare.

ok... but where is that ignition wire, im not too familiar with electrical stuff in the engine bay.

its not necessary to be a certain ignition wire, just a wire that is on when the ignition is on. just start testing wires near the fuse box, and see which are on during ignition on..

you could use a test light or a voltmeter to see which wires are on with ignition on..
