Ok. I want to let you know that today I found a new way to control the fog lights on 2006 and 2007 runners. It will make your fog lights work without the head lights neing on. Locate your fuse box inside the engine bay. Located next to the battery and the left fender. Then locate the fog light relay. Its easy to find if you look at the back of your fuse box cover. Its the blue relay and is located at the back closer to the firewall inside the fuse box. When you locate the relay you are almost there. After you find the location of the relay you can go to the auto parts store and get yourself a two way switch. Meaning on/off positions. You can get a simple one or a one with a light its up to you.
What you need: A switch, wire, and about 1hr or less of working on your toy.
What you do first is you want to find a spot for your switch. I put mine just above the fuse panel inside the car. Just above the left leg. Next to your diff.locker button or any other button spot thats not used.
Now all you have to do is run a wire from your battery posative post to your switch. i ran mine threw the fire wall rubber plug. You can just pry them loose and fish the wires threw and pop back in the place. From the switch you will run the wire to the fog light relay that I will show later. Your basic light switch will have three post setup. Posative,Negative and source wire. I will explain later also. So next you want to run the negative or the ground wire. Either you can find a bolt underneath the dash or the fuse relay or just pull it to the battery negative post from your switch. Email me at [email protected] for help or questions on this mod. And go see my runner at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2448561
